New Rs. 2,000 notes will be available in some ATMs from tomorrow, The government of India said today that in order to look in to the cash problem this step is taken in faster way.
Indian Government also admit that there is a nationwide scramble for cash.
Adding to this, old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes, scrapped last week in a sudden announcement by Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi, will be accepted for 10 more days at government
hospitals, private nursing homes, petrol stations, and other utility bills like water and electricity. This could be a good step by government for cash starved country.
